Here's some important info to look at before we bump in
Everyone - staff, stallholders and volunteers must know what to expect before we open to the public. So we all need to watch this quick video and answer 2 questions (You'll find them in the vid). Email your answers to firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday April 10.
Before we bump-in...
Not long to go now, so here are a few things you need to keep in mind on the General Business side of things….
By now you should all have received your bump-in instructions, entry gate, stallholder area, and stall number. You should also know your earliest possible bump-in time. Remember, you can bump in any time after that, just not before.
If you haven’t received bump-in info, please don’t hesitate to email us.
Passes will be handed out by gate staff, who can also answer any questions you may have.
Remember, Hi-vis vests MUST be worn during bump-in and bump-out operations, or whenever vehicles are moving within the fairgrounds
Remember: we need to see your Public Liability cover and your Food Safety Certification. If you haven’t already, please forward your PL Certificates, and Food Safety Certificates for the Food & Beverage guys, before bumping in.
As usual, security guards will patrol the site overnight on Friday and Saturday, and will be present during the event. However, you must be vigilant when the general public are about, as plants have been stolen in the past.
During trading hours, the site will be locked down. You may not be able to get to your vehicle whenever you wish. Staff will have access through locked gates in emergencies only. Be prepared with all the stock you need to trade each day before gates open to the public. You can come and go through the general public exit points so long as your Stallholder Pass is displayed, if you must go to your vehicle. But as a rule, don’t rely on access to your vehicle during trading if possible
Extra shade structures: bringing your own?
We appreciate some of you need to guard your plants from the elements, so we’ve relaxed our stance on shade structures with the following conditions;
Your shade structure must not exceed your stall area
White is the only acceptable colour. Mostly white is ok, but any other colour is out
Branded shade structures are not encouraged, may be considered on request (conditionally), but must be approved by CPF management, or they will not be accepted
Your shade structure must be weighted down with weights of sufficient mass and appropriate design to prevent movement in moderate winds
CPF management reserves the right to remove structures if deemed unsafe or inappropriate
Your structures MUST be covered under YOUR Public Liability Insurance. CPF shall not accept any liability for structures not provided by us, so if you have any doubts about this, we recommend you hire approved shade (i.e., market umbrellas), which we can arrange for you
Personal Hygiene & Sun Safety
In the interest of safe guarding our health and the health of our customers we will be making hand sanitiser available at each of our counters and anywhere cash is exchanged. We will also have sun screen available in the Green Room. Sun hats are highly recommended
Parking and contact on dash
Parking is limited at the event. So please move your vehicles as quickly as possible to the signposted Stallholder Parking areas – you’ll find them on the bump-in map below. Remember to display your name and phone number clearly on your dashboard in case you’re parking someone in
Biosecurity Priority Weeds List
Biosecurity Field Inspectors from Hawkesbury City Council will be conducting inspections of the plant collection at the fair from 3pm on Friday April 14.
They are focused on the early detection of new incursions and containment of high-risk plant species that impact biodiversity, agriculture, and properties. A part of this is the regular inspection of identified high-risk sites and events such as nurseries, community markets, and in this case plant fairs.
