ABOUT US

Collectors’ Plant Fair (CPF) was launched in 2005 and has grown to be the largest plant fair in Australia.

We are thrilled when our favourite plant specialists, breeders, growers, hybridisers and garden creatives collide during one weekend.

A weekend where plant lovers can find long lost plants, meet up with their planty friends and chat with expert specialist growers. The weekend is perfectly timed and it's a good excuse to sip good coffee and get out, connect with our love of plants and plant people.

In 2015 CPF said a fond farewell to its founders Peta and Peter Trahar, and Beth Stokes. After a decade of sterling effort in building the Fair, the trio passed the batton and the responsibility for its future on to two plant lovers determined to uphold the integrity, passion and generous spirit, and enable it to continue as Australia’s treasured event.

In 2015 Linda Ross (B.LArch, Hort) and Daniel Wheatley (M.Eng.Mgt) took the tiller to steer this much loved plant fair into a bright and brilliant future. In 2020 they brought a new vibrant event team onboard under the experienced hands of Jada Bennett. All three have an unflagging enthusiasm for plants, plant growers, gardeners and the gardening industry. Under their guidance the event has tripled in size to become a treasured event on the horticultural calendar.
